



Organic Thyme CO2 extract 10 ml.
Ingredients: 38 - 55 % essential oil containing mainly thymol, furthermore carvacrol, p-cymol, borneol, linalool, 1.8 cineol etc.. In addition the extract contains lipids, resins and waxes.
In food: Thyme extract is suitable as a spice extract for flavouring food, such as Mediterranean dishes, sauces, baked goods. It is also suitable for refining desserts or in herbal lemonades and herbal liqueurs.
In cosmetics: INCI-Name: Thymus Vulgaris Leaf Extract, CAS-No. 84929-51-1, EINECS-No. 284-535-7
Due to its aromatic-spicy scent and its antimicrobial, disinfectant properties, thyme extract can be used in perfumes, conditioning soaps, creams, shampoos, bath additives and foot baths.
Traditional use: Thyme is used in herbal medicines to treat respiratory diseases such as bronchitis, whooping cough or inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. The thymol contained in the extract has antiseptic and antimicrobial effects. Externally, thyme is used for its antibacterial properties in inflammation of the mouth and throat, inflammatory skin changes, to relieve itching, bruising and dislocation.
The product complies with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1334/2008 on flavourings and with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No.1223/2009 on cosmetic products in the currently valid version. Possible traces of prohibited substances are unintentional and result from impurities as they may occur in plants and their processing and are technically unavoidable in good manufacturing practice. However, the presence is in compliance with Art. 3 Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.
